In the following pages we present an integrated
overview of subjects related to the Morbus Alzheimer Syndrome -
including the clinical description, early diagnostic measures, therapy,
support, relief and educational concepts.
The goal of the M·A·S (Morbus Alzheimer Syndrome) Society is
to provide support and helpful information to those who suffer from
Alzheimer's disease and their caregiving relatives.
The M·A·S Society was founded in 1997 as a non-profit organization
for interdisciplinary gerontology, to provide support and care for
people suffering from Alzheimer's disease and their families. The
society views itself as a promoter for the progressive and appropriate
care of dementia patients by involving their families and their social
environment. It also serves as a partner for caregivers, providing
competent information and resources. Furthermore, the society develops
practice-oriented concepts which allow dementia patients and their
relatives to once again experience quality of life and joy of living.
All projects and services of this society are provided as a supplement
to those of federal and private social organizations. Since the
founding of M·A·S, these projects have been applied with great
success. The society is a charitable, non-profit and politically
independent organization. All members of the board provide their
services free of charge.
